Fairview Hospital, Wound Clinic
This project involved the renovation of a vacant building to suit a wound clinic. Mechanical design included a new air handling unit and filtration systems as well as VAV boxes coupled to a new high-efficiency condensing boiler. Plumbing design included restroom fixtures, piping, and domestic water heating equipment as well as medical gas systems. Medical air and oxygen systems were connected to a new tank farm and distributed to two hyperbaric chambers. Electrical design included new panelboards, circuiting, receptacles, lighting and nurse call systems.
Glens Falls Hospital, MRI Facilities Expansion
HEA provided M/E/P design services associated with the renovation of an existing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Scan, Equipment and Control rooms at Glens Falls Hospital to accommodate a new MRI unit and associated equipment. The project involved revising/upgrading the existing HVAC, power distribution, potable water, DWV, compressed air, oxygen and vacuum systems to suit the MRI equipment upgrades. And existing cryogen quench vent was also replaced.
Northern Berkshire Health Center, Sterile Facilities
This project added central sterile facilities to an existing 1st-floor surgical suite at Northern Berkshire Heath Center. Plumbing design included compressed air systems, cart washing facilities with a spray down assembly, instrument washer and two sterilizers. A 12-gallon water distiller with an integral pressure tank and controls was specified for instrument cleansing processes. High-pressure steam and condensate services were extended to the sterilizers and instrument washer. Normal and emergency power was extended to applicable medical equipment, receptacles, and lighting fixtures.
