HEA is an approved M/E/P consultant under MA DHCD’s “House Doctor” Program, which allows housing authorities to obtain assistance with various capital improvement projects. Assignments have included normal and emergency power, HVAC, domestic hot water, fire alarm and temperature control upgrades. HEA is on its third consecutive term contract with MA DHCD. A partial list of projects includes:
Belchertown Housing Authority: Fire alarm upgrades at Everett Acres.
Berkshire County Regional Housing Authority: Heating system evaluation and piping modifications/improvements at 3 Dewey Way in Sheffield.
Chicopee Housing Authority: Federal Pacific electric panel replacements and GFCIs at Edward J Bury Apartments, and fire alarm and exhaust upgrades at the Volpe Development.
Clinton Housing Authority: New standby generator to serve the Midrise and Victorian buildings at the Presentation Apartments development.
East Longmeadow Housing Authority: Federal Pacific panels and GFI receptacle replacements at Inward Commons.
Easthampton Housing Authority: Boiler and DHW equipment replacements at the Sunrise Manor development.
Fitchburg Housing Authority: New sprinkler system at the Community Residence.
Granby Housing Authority: Federal Pacific electric panels replacements at Phins Hill Manor.
Hadley Housing Authority: Fire alarm upgrades at Golden Court Apartments.
Northampton Housing Authority: Domestic hot water tank replacements at the Hampshire Heights Development.
North Adams Housing Authority: Energy performance contract support at four sites; implementation of boiler, VFD, lighting and control ECMs at each site.
Pittsfield Housing Authority: Electric service upgrades at Christopher Arms Apartments.
South Hadley Housing Authority: Fire alarm upgrades at Lathrop Village.
Southbridge Housing Authority: New standby generators at Dresser Park Apartments and Quinebaug Plaza.
Springfield Housing Authority: Zone valve and thermostat replacements at Carpe Diem and Forest Park; and furnace/AC unit replacements at the Egan Street Development.
West Springfield Housing Authority: Boiler and DWH replacements at Lee Lang Terrace and Oxford Place; new standby generator at the Wilfred J. Bourque Sr. Building, and fire alarm upgrades at the Oxford Place and Grove Village Developments.
Westfield Housing Authority: Fire alarm system upgrades at the Charles F. Ely Apartment Building, boiler and fire alarm control panel replacements at the Robert McGinn Apartment Building, and new DHW and space heating plants for the Community Residence and Edward O’Rourke buildings.
