Williams College, Various Projects

Since 2014, HEA has provided M/E/P and FP design services for a wide range of projects at Williams College. Our experience includes:

Driscoll Dining Hall: M/E/P design associated with renovations and an addition to Driscoll Dining Hall, a two-story student dining facility.

Danforth Block: M/E/P design associated with the renovation of the main level of Danforth Block, a three-story building located on Williams College’s campus. The renovation was designed to suit upgraded commercial and retail spaces. 

Gundy’s Garage (Artist Studios): M/E/P design associated with the renovation of the Gundy’s Garage building. The renovation was designed to accommodates artist studios and support spaces. 

Chadbourne & Doughty Houses: M/E/P design services related to existing HVAC, exhaust, power, lighting, fire alarm and plumbing systems to make these dorms ADA accessible. 

Sage Hall: Designed fire protection improvements to accommodate renovations at Sage Hall, a four-story student dormitory building. 

Morey & Stocking House Boiler Replacements: Designed the replacement of the existing central heating hot water boiler plants. The project included new boilers, variable speed pumps, controls, and ancillary equipment as well as new radiators and hydronic piping. 

Frosh Quad: Power distribution, pedestrian site lighting and A/V design associated with a $1.2M landscaping and site infrastructure project to support the hosting of campus events and enhance overall campus aesthetics. 

Dodd, Fitch and Perry Houses: Provided M/E/P design services related to the creation of ADA accessible laundry facilities at each dormitory. 

Lawrence Hall Visual Resource Center: M/E/P design associated with renovations to the College’s Visual Resource Center. Work included HVAC, power, lighting, life safety, plumbing and DWV systems for new office and A/V room layouts. 

Hopkins Hall, Campus Security Department: M/E/P design for renovations to the College’s Security Department Headquarters. Work included HVAC, power, lighting, life safety, plumbing and DWV systems for new offices, work areas and shower facilities. 

Williams Inn: Prepared a facility condition assessment and energy usage study associated with the M/E/P and FP systems at the Williams Inn HEA’s report addressed the building’s existing HVAC, exhaust, power, lighting, fire alarm, plumbing, DWV and fire protection systems.
