HEA provided design services for M/E/P systems and building utility extensions associated with the expansion of two Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) suites at this 410-bed hospital in upstate New York. The projects involved revising/upgrading existing HVAC, power distribution, potable water, DWV, compressed air, oxygen and vacuum systems to suit the MRI equipment upgrades. An existing cryogen quench vent was also replaced.
In addition to these projects, HEA was also retained to commission an operating room’s new M/E/P systems, and design HVAC and plumbing system modifications to accommodate the expansion of the hospital’s C.R. Wood Cancer Center from 7,000-sf to 16,000-sf.
